The old "apostrophe in the title" bug has bit again, so I couldn't answer under your post, but I replaced the seat on my JD750 with one from Northern Hydraulics. Had to modify the mount just a tad, but it was about a quarter of the price that JD wanted, and looks fine.

You could try a Seat shop if you have one in town...I have used one for mine and had good results at a fraction of the cost of a new one. The seat tray has t obe in good condition but he replacedt the foam and the vinyl for less than 50 bucks. The guy I used did lots of work on boats so I knew he had lots of vinyl experience. hope this helps. ....

I was reading your problem with seat replacement and could not beleive what your local dealer was chargeing. I just bought my husband a seat for his 955 from my local dealer and paid under $100.00 for it brand new. I think maybe its time to find a new John Deere dealer. Hope you can find a cheaper replacement.
Good Luck Jolene ....

I just purchased a new seat for my 855. The original seat is no longer available, but the factory replacement cost me $104.00 from the dealer. JD part # is AM 107759. This is the same seat that comes standard on the new 4000 series tractors. The installation was simple. Only real difference from the original is that original was green on the back, new one is black. ....
